Ben Kweller returns today with his first album in four years, Go Fly A Kite.
It’s been too long since I’ve given him a listen. Hopefully the new record provides a great revisit.

Maybe what you need’s for someone to send you flowers.
Someone strong and mean who can prove he has the power to
show you more than charm and take you on your way
to where you want to be at the end of the day.
And it breaks my heart in two to know it ain’t meant to be…
but, it ain’t me. It ain’t me.

Patterson Hood, from one of the more underrated songs in the Drive-By Truckers catalog, “(Something’s Got To) Give Pretty Soon”.
Only three days until I see them live for the 8TH TIME, in Louisville.

Wild Nothing ♒ Nowhere (ft. Andrea Estella) (via p4k)
If you folks must know one thing if anything about me you must know that Wild Nothing is my favorite band ever. I’ve never been disappointed by anything they’ve put out from the Cloudbusting 7” to Gemini to their Golden Haze EP. They’re one of my favorites on the ever growing independent record label Captured Tracks which I run a fanblog for.
So when I noticed Wild Nothing put out a new track in support of their forthcoming Nowhere 7” my heart may or may not have skipped a beat. Take a listen for pop goodness. Their sophomore effort is definitely my most anticipated of the year.
Crying :’))))
This is incredible. Phil Elverum (of The Microphones and Mount Eerie) is doing karaoke to a Li’l Wayne song. He busts some killer moves, and his rapping skills are impressive to say the least. This was presumably shot by Arrington de Dionyso.
Mount Eerie’s new Dub Narcotic Disco Plate, Distorted Cymbals, will be released on February 7th.
